Some projects begin with a brief. This one began over coffee. On the morning of 5 November 2026, Unitrux sat down with artist Sydney Roberts to sketch out a partnership with two sides: giving Sydney's work a home online that does it justice, and bringing hand-drawn illustration into the projects we create for our clients.
Who Sydney is
Sydney Roberts is a Montreal artist who moves fluidly between media: digital painting and character design, gouache, charcoal and oils, and pen-and-pencil sketchbooks drawn from everyday life. You can follow Sydney's work on Instagram at @sydney_robarts, and now on the official website.

Artists rarely need an elaborate website. What they need is a calm, fast space where the work can be seen in full and a visitor can get in touch in a single tap. That was our brief to ourselves when we designed sydneyrobarts.com:
- The work takes centre stage. An airy portfolio grid, with a page for each piece, large images and a few lines on how it was made.
- Projects and stories. A section for the stories behind commissions and collaborations, beginning with Sydney's own account of this project.
- An easy way to say hello. One clear path for commissions, licensing and collaboration enquiries.
- Quick to load, easy to find. Optimised images, a clean structure and careful search foundations, so anyone looking for Sydney by name finds the official site first.
Unitrux took care of structure, design, build, domain and hosting. Sydney chose which pieces to show and how the site should feel.
Part 2: illustration projects
The partnership also runs the other way. Sydney will illustrate selected Unitrux projects, from brand illustration to website artwork and social content. For our clients, that means images drawn by an artist for them alone, with a personal touch that stock photos and AI-generated images can't quite match.
And more to come
We see this as a long-term partnership rather than a one-off commission, and we're already exploring new ideas to try together. As each one takes shape, we'll share it here.
