Seo for law firms now means being named by Google and by AI assistants, because clients increasingly choose from a short list they are given instead of scrolling results. Unitrux builds that visibility for U.S. law and accounting firms.

Many firms have deep expertise and a referral-driven practice, yet their website says little that a stranger or an assistant could repeat. Prospects compare the few names they are given and move on. This article explains what changes when AI assistants start naming businesses, and how we help law and accounting firms become one of the names.
What the customer experiences now
A business owner asks an AI assistant, "Who is a good commercial lease attorney in Omaha?" It names a few firms with a short reason for each. The owner calls one of them. Firms that describe practice areas vaguely rarely appear.
That is the opportunity: a smaller, warmer stream of customers who arrive already convinced, with shorter conversations and fewer people comparing on price alone.
The numbers behind the shift
Pew Research Center followed 900 U.S. adults making 68,879 Google searches in March 2025. With an AI summary, people clicked a traditional result on 8% of visits. Without one, they clicked on 15%. Only 1% clicked a link inside the summary. Ahrefs estimates that on keywords with an AI Overview, the top-ranking page earned about 58% fewer clicks in December 2025 than it would have without one. These figures come from general searches, not only from law and accounting firms, so we read them as a direction rather than a forecast for any single business.
Our expert view
Legal decisions rest on credibility. We believe firms are best served by naming practice areas precisely, showing attorney bios with credentials, explaining process honestly and respecting bar advertising rules in each state. We do not promise outcomes and recommend that firms confirm compliance with their own state bar.
What we build
We start with a visibility audit: does Google or an AI assistant name your business for the searches your best customers use, and who do they name instead. We then fix the foundation, publish specific evidence-based pages for each service and location you want, align your listings and report monthly on what moved. Agencies serving law and accounting firms can also work with us as a white-label partner.
Local factors still decide who appears
Google says local results depend on relevance, distance and prominence. For law and accounting firms that means a complete, accurate profile, clear service pages and a steady record of real reviews. BrightLocal's 2025 survey found that 96% of U.S. adults read online reviews at least occasionally, so reputation is part of visibility.

Frequently asked questions
How much does SEO for this industry cost?
Pricing depends on your market and goals. We start with a free visibility audit and quote each line item separately.
Is SEO still worth it with AI assistants?
Yes. Google says the same foundational SEO practices apply to its AI features, so strong SEO is the base for AEO, GEO and AIO.
How long until results appear?
Local visibility often begins to move within a few months. No agency can promise a ranking or a number of calls.
Limits and honest expectations
AI assistants and search engines change their answers over time and no one controls them. Results vary by industry, city and competition, and we do not guarantee a position or a number of leads. We show you what is measurable and report it plainly.
